Traditional Osteopathy

“It is the object of a physician to find health, anyone can find disease”

Andrew Taylor Still M.D., D.O.

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a system of natural medicine that views the individual as a whole unit. The principles of osteopathic medicine emphasize the interrelationship between structure and function of the body and recognizes the body’s ability to heal itself.  The role of the osteopathic physician is to seek out barriers and facility the  to facilitate the healing process.
In an Osteopathic approach to your health concerns we assess and treat movement restrictions in your body tissues that prevent your body from functioning at its best and prevent you from feeling healthy and fit. Osteopathy is unique because it focuses on finding and treating the causes of your pain and dysfunction rather than just focusing on symptoms.

What is Cranial Osteopathy?

Cranial Osteopathy is the study of anatomy and physiology of the bones of the head or skull and how they inter-relate with the body as a whole. The gentle hands-on techniques of cranial osteopathy may be applied for the treatment of disease and enhancement of health within the practice of the science of osteopathy.
